MIDTERMS 2026:
000D : 00H : 00M
SYSTEM STATUS: VULNERABLE

The math is on our side

Right now, the ratio of voter turnout is broken. In the last midterm, only 23% of Gen Z voters aged 18–29 cast a ballot, while older generations hit 60%. Traditional politicians use that gap to write us off.

We’re changing the math. By mobilizing 28.9 million youth pledges, we will hit that same 60% turnout rate, erase the deficit, and force the establishment to respect our presence in the 2026 midterms.

OFFICIAL U.S. CENSUS DATA

The 2022 Midterm Gap

Total baseline ballots cast during the last midterm cycle showing the volume deficit.

Voters Ages 60+ ~60% (39.5M Voted)
Gen Z Voters (Ages 18-29) ~23% (11.1M Voted)
2.6x

Older demographics turned out at more than double the rate of Gen Z. This is the structural unbalance we are destroying.

FAQ: no filter, just facts

Got questions? We’ve got real answers.

Why did you build this site? Who is behind it?

This platform wasn't built by a political party, a tech company, or a consulting firm. It was built at a kitchen table by a dad who is concerned about the future his son is inheriting.

In my professional life, I see firsthand what happens when people are left out of the room: decisions are made without complete data, leading to poor outcomes. Right now, our political system is reading from an old book that has reached its shelf life. To write a new one with better possibilities, we need new voices at the table. I built Fix the Ratio on my own nights and weekends to give your generation the objective data you need to pull up a chair, see your true mathematical leverage, and lead us forward.

How does the site track registration and pledges without exposing my personal data?

Fix the Ratio is built with strict privacy and security guardrails. We only collect two pieces of information, and we process them like this:

Your Email (The Security Shield): We require an email address strictly to keep our live dashboard honest and prevent bots or users from inflating the numbers with duplicate submissions. However, we never store your actual email. The moment you type it in, our system instantly turns it into a "hashed ID"—a one-way, randomized digital fingerprint. We only save that unique scrambled ID to block duplicates. Your real email completely vanishes from our system.

Your Zip Code (The Outreach Map): We use your Zip Code purely to populate our live momentum map. It lets everyone see where youth turnout is gaining traction and, more importantly, tells us exactly which areas need more outreach support to fix the ratio.

Why am I sometimes sent to an official state portal and other times kept on Vote.org?

It depends entirely on your state's laws. Some states allow secure, third-party digital signatures, meaning you can complete your entire registration smoothly right inside the Vote.org tool on our site. Other states strictly require you to use their own state-run portal to process an online registration. When that happens, our system automatically routes you directly to your official Secretary of State or Department of Motor Vehicles portal so your application is 100% official and legal.

What is the difference between the "Secure My Pledge" and "Register and Pledge" options?

Secure my Pledge: This is for users who are already registered to vote but want to log their commitment to turn out for the midterms. It instantly adds your voice to your district's live leverage tracker.

Register and Pledge: This is a two-in-one step for users who are not registered yet or need to update their address. It walks you through the official voter registration process first, and once that is successfully submitted, it automatically logs your turnout pledge on our dashboard.

Can a user fake or inflate the live dashboard numbers by submitting multiple times?

No. To keep our data accurate and respected by civic organizations, we use lightweight, anonymous device-token identifiers. This ensures that while we have zero idea who you are personally, our database recognizes if the same device is attempting to submit dozens of fake pledges. This keeps the data clean, honest, and reliable.
